Tax-delinquent data: what it shows
Amount owed, years behind and value, by county. How it differs from a foreclosure posting and where it's loaded.
A tax-delinquent property has unpaid property taxes on the county's delinquent tax roll.
What we show
- Amount owed and years behind.
- The property's assessed value, so you can compare what is owed to what it is worth.
- Owner and mailing address (members).
Sort by Most tax owed, or use the Absentee + tax delinquent preset: an owner who lives elsewhere and stopped paying taxes is often ready to sell.
Tax delinquent is not a foreclosure posting
A tax-delinquent property is not necessarily headed to the first-Tuesday trustee sale. Those sales are mostly mortgage foreclosures. Tax foreclosures run through a separate court process, take longer, and owners usually have time to pay.
Where it is loaded
Tax-delinquent data is loaded for many large counties (for example Bexar, Harris, Collin, Dallas). If your county does not have it yet, the list says so. Public examples: Bexar County tax delinquent and Texas tax-delinquent properties.
Quick answers
Does Texas Signals have tax-delinquent lists?
Yes, for many counties: amount owed, years behind and value. Coverage varies by county; the list says when a county's tax data is not loaded.
Is a tax-delinquent property going to auction?
Not necessarily. Tax foreclosures run through a separate court process and take longer than the first-Tuesday mortgage trustee sales.
